You stop in and wander around looking for the perfect gift for your best friend and find all kinds of wonderful products. The retail staff is fresh and well-trained and oh-so helpful and friendly. You find a gift and end up making a few impulse buys for yourself.
A few months later, you stop in with your friend, but their newness had worn off and they not only failed to engage you, they ended up losing your loyalty since the experience did not deliver the same excitement.
